PostSubject: Gods and Religions   Fri Jan 16, 2009 10:46 pm

Will Religion play a big part in our kingdom? If so, shall we use one of Darkfall's official religions (Auros, Ymir's Prophecy, etc.) or create our own individual one?

I was wanting to suggest a polytheistic religion similar to those of ancient Gaul and Germania. This would give us various possibilities for different God-cults and other interesting RP.

Feedback please.

We're too small for this, especially for more then one cult/god.

well tbh since we're going to be a nomadic (When we meet) society we should technically be slightly feral in a way

think about it this way, a small society that needs to fight to survive and hunt to feed, its bound to have some prehistoric cases of spirituality in it

you kill the beast, you cull the population

to keep the population steady, you bring offerings to the spirits of these beasts etc

just something from my religion and ritual work in archaeology i thought i'd chuck in there, i could add more if you like

I agree, we don't need multiple cults, just a somewhat nomadic religious framework.

Well I don't know everyone's background story but Dagren has only recently become a nomad, I think the same goes for the Ironheart brothers if I'm not mistaken.

Well, I was just thinking this would be a good foundation for RP. If this suits other members we could always change the backgrounds to suit the continuous story.

I think we should just see what happens and not force anything upon ourselves Smile
